Agawam Police officer Zack Hall holds baby Sophia, a newborn that he helped deliver in the early hours of New Year s Day after he responded to a call about a woman in labor.

AGAWAM - An Agawam police officer helped deliver one of the first New Year’s babies in the state early Friday when he responded to a house call just a woman in labor, according to Agawam police.
The officer, Zack Hall, responded to the scene just before 3 a.m. Finding the woman well into labor and without time for a trip to the hospital, he helped with the delivery.
