DHUBRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ashok Kumar Singhi from Bilasipara (East), in an interaction with media persons at Chapor of Dhubri district, claimed that over one lakh people benefited under various welfare schemes in the last five years.
Singhi said that a massive socio-economic transformation had taken place in his constituency due to various welfare schemes initiated by the State and Central governments. Apart from that, Dhubri district being one of the 117 aspirational districts of the country, various innovative schemes and projects got implemented and were being continued in order to uplift the socio-economic condition of the people, along with a massive infrastructural development in all the sectors, focusing particularly on education, agriculture, health, communication and skill development, Singhi said.

Online Phishing Scam in SBI Online: Several users of the State Bank of India (SBI) have been targeted with a phishing scam where hackers have flooded them with suspicious text messages, requesting them to redeem their SBI credit points worth Rs 9,870.
The link associated with the text messages redirects the user to a fake website and on the landing page, the user is asked to submit personal information along with sensitive financial details like card number, expiry date, CVV and MPIN in a State Bank of India Fill Your Details form.
According to the investigation by New Delhi-based think tank CyberPeace Foundation along with Autobot Infosec Private Ltd, the website collects data directly without any verification and is registered by a third party instead of having the registrant organisation name of State Bank of India, making it all the more suspicious.

The risk of cognitive impairment increases as people age. Better sleep is beneficial to the brain and can improve cognitive skills. Yet in our study, we found that over half of the people with cognitive impairment had obstructive sleep apnea, said study author Mark Boulos of the University of Toronto in Canada. We also found that those with the sleep disorder had lower scores on thinking and memory tests. Fully understanding how obstructive sleep apnea affects this population is important because with treatment, there is potential to improve thinking and memory skills as well as overall quality of life.
