The privatisation-bound BPCL added that it will sell its entire stake to a consortium of Oil India Ltd and Engineers India Ltd for Rs 9,876 crore. With this sale of the Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, the way has been cleared for privatisation of India s second-largest fuel retailer.

A CORRESPONDENT DHUBRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ashok Kumar Singhi from Bilasipara (East), in an interaction with media persons at Chapor of Dhubri district, claimed that over one lakh people benefited under various welfare schemes in the last five years. Singhi said that a massive socio-economic transformation had taken place in his constituency due to various welfare schemes initiated by the State and Central governments.
