GARDNER The Heywood Wakefield Commons assisted living community recently held a virtual Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. The contest was open to anyone who wanted to submit photos of themselves wearing their “ugly holiday sweaters.” Residents of the community voted for winners in three categories recently at a recent socially distanced event. The three winners were:
Ugliest: Mayor Michael Nicholson
Most Festive: Marie Meunier
The winners won gift certificates to local Gardner businesses, including The Velvet Goose, Gardner Ale House and Priscilla Candy Shop.
