Kentucky Capitol riot arrests: Peter Schwartz arrested in Pennsylvania

Louisville Courier Journal LOUISVILLE, Ky.  A Kentucky man was reportedly arrested Thursday in Pennsylvania in connection with last month s deadly U.S. Capitol riot, with federal authorities accusing him of spraying mace at police officers during the Jan. 6 attack. He was charged federally with entering restricting grounds, entering grounds with the intent to impede government business, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, assault on a federal officer, and obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder.  An affidavit says the FBI National Threat Operations Center received a tip Jan. 11 from an individual who is personally acquainted with Schwartz. The individual said Schwartz was involved in the riot in Washington, D.C., along with supporters of then-President Donald Trump, and that he was supposed to be at a rehabilitation facility in Owensboro on Jan. 6.
