PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines Berhad s Enrich frequent flyer programme members have been advised to change their passwords following a data security incident at one of its third-party IT service providers. According to a Malaysia Airlines e-mail to Enrich members on Monday (March 1), the incident affects some personal data of Enrich members between March 2010 and June 2019. “Malaysia Airlines has no evidence that any personal data has been misused and the incident did not disclose any account passwords. We are nevertheless encouraging Enrich members to change their account passwords as a precautionary measure, ” the airline said in the e-mail. Malaysia Airlines also said in the e-mail that it would not be contacting members regarding the updating of their information via telephone call.
