There are no cases of COVID-19 to report in the
community in New Zealand today.
There are five new
cases of COVID-19 to report related to recent returnees in
managed isolation facilities, since the Ministry’s last
update yesterday.
Six previously reported cases have
now recovered.
The number of active cases in New
Zealand is now 48.
There are also four new historical
cases to report – all of whom are also in managed
isolation facilities. A previously reported case, from 11
July, has now been reclassified as a historical case. All
five historical cases are included in our confirmed case

The New Zealand Commercial Radio Industry released the S2
2021 GfK Radio Audience Data into the market today, showing
New Zealand radio audiences at an all time high. More than
3.7 million New Zealanders were listening to radio every
week and over 3.5 million of those listen to commercial
radio stations. The radio industry continues to
maintain a strong role in our local media mix – it’s
more critical than ever for our stories to be told, and to
be told by the very best broadcasters in Aotearoa.

Health
Nelson Marlborough Health is asking people
not to visit patients in Nelson or Wairau hospital if they
are unwell or have any cold/flu symptoms.
Visitors are
also restricted from visiting patients in children’s
wards, maternity wards and special care baby units
(excluding a patient’s parents, partner or other
guardian).
People with hospital appointments are asked
to phone ahead and let the relevant department know if they
are unwell. They may be offered a phone or video appointment
instead, or asked to wear a facemask when they come in for
