BitPrime today announced its support to Parliament s
Finance and Expenditure Committee inquiry into the current
and future nature, impact and risks of cryptocurrencies in
order to stimulate New Zealand into becoming a
Cryptocurrency and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)
global leader.
BitPrime has been a leader in the New
Zealand cryptocurrency industry since 2017 and is one of its

Closing a key international development forum on
Thursday, the deputy UN chief observed that a year of
“immense challenges” has reversed progress on meeting
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
After eight
“solid days” of deliberations at the High-Level
Political Forum on Sustainable Development(HLPF),
Amina Mohammed attributed the COVID pandemic to “a
reversal of SDG progress in some areas, and delayed action
on many of the major transitions required to meet our 2030
goals”.
She said the pandemic has had a “deeply
negative impact” on health and well-being; employment,
businesses, incomes, education; and human rights, with “a

Torrential rain on the West Coast, Buller, Tasman and
Marlborough today has caused extensive surface flooding,
slips and highway closures.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) says
significant progress has been made in negotiations with the
district health boards (DHBs) over the latest multi-employer
collective agreement (MECA), and it will be presenting an
offer to its members next week.

Wait said he was glad negotiations had reached this point
after talks broke down earlier in the week. The DHBs
had shown a willingness to move on a number of issues
important to our members, but did not have an offer ready by
close of business on Wednesday, which was the two-week
deadline for issuing the strike notice.
