The Michael and Suzanne Borrin Foundation
is pleased to announce a new scholarship to contribute to
increasing Māori postgraduate scholarship in law. This will
be added to the suite of fellowships, scholarships, and
grants for individuals offered by the Borrin
Foundation.
The scholarship is offered in partnership
with Ngā Pae o te
Māramatanga, Aotearoa New Zealand’s Māori Centre of
Research Excellence. The Borrin Foundation – Ngā Pae o te
Māramatanga Scholarship is for Māori law graduates who
wish to obtain a post-graduate degree in law overseas or
domestically.

Wellington, 5 July 2021: A series of ‘hands-on’ open
days held throughout the country has opened the eyes of
female secondary school students to a career in the
infrastructure industry. Girls
with Hi-Vis® (GWHV) has seen events held nationwide
throughout June to offer young women the opportunity to
visit an infrastructure company through their school, get
hands-on experience and hear from inspirational women in the
industry. The open days provide an understanding about
what’s involved in the many and varied roles in
infrastructure’s Civil, Energy, Telco and Water
industries.

The International Indigenous Peoples Movement for
Self-Determination and Liberation (IPMSDL) welcomes the
recommendation to dismiss the trumped-up
murder charges filed against Windel Bolinget and fellow
activists on grounds of lack of probable cause. This
recommendation was made by the Prosecutor’s Office of the
Regional Trial Court Branch 20 in Tagum City, Davao del
Norte in its report for the reinvestigation of the
charges.
These fabricated
murder charges filed against IP rights defender, Mr.
Windel Bolinget, is part of the state’s systematic attacks
against Indigenous Peoples, activists and peoples
