College Religious Expression Case Goes to US Supreme Court
Thursday, January 21st, 2021
A college student who was kicked off campus for sharing his faith, has taken his long running battle to the US Supreme Court.
Chike Uzuegbunam says he was silenced more than once by authorities at Georgia Gwinnett College during the summer of 2016.
After passing out religious materials on campus, he was told he didn’t have permission to evangelise, and any faith-based activities must be done in a “free speech zone”.
Breaking Christian News reports he complied with their orders but was later removed from the college after complaints were made against him, saying his speech was “hostile” and contained “fighting words”.
