A Pakistani immigrant who was a well-known businessman in Atlantic City for more than 40 years, died last Thursday after a group of teens – including at least two armed with a knife – ransacked one of his stores.
Mehmood Ansari collapsed and died shortly after his store was robbed around 7:30 p.m. on April 1. Though autopsy reports are pending, Ansari’s son told Fox News his father likely died of heart failure, brought on by the stress of the robbery. Mehmood Ansari immigrated to the U.S. from Pakistani more than 40 years ago.
Absecon Cops: Driver in Critical Condition After Route 30 Crash
The Absecon Police Department says their officers responded to Route 30 just west of the Delilah Road overpass at about 3:45 PM Monday for the report of an accident with entrapment.
Police say the woman, only identified as being from Atlantic City, was injured when her vehicle left the road and struck the barrier in the median.
There were small children, ranging from ages 1 to 3, in the vehicle. The children sustained minor injuries, however, the driver had to be extricated by the Absecon Fire Department.

The driver and children were rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center by Absecon Emergency Services.
Shots Fired in Absecon Tuesday Morning, One Man Injured
According to the Absecon Police Department, their officers responded to the Marin Drive apartment complex off of W. California Avenue at around 3:00 Tuesday morning for a shots-fired call.
Arriving officers found a man with a leg injury which, they say, he sustained while fleeing from gunfire. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center–City Division for treatment.
No further information was released by authorities.
