UAM Tillers Defeat ABU Nobles, UNILAG Marines Hold FUTA Tigers

HIFL 2021 ROUND OF 16 The second round of matches in the Round of 16 of the ongoing 2021 Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) organized by PACE Sports and Entertainment Marketing Limited got more interesting as thrilling results came in from the matches played across the four centres. In the match of the week, UAM Tillers shocked ABU Nobles at home defeating the Zaria boys by 2-1. The Nobles played with utmost gusto but they were pegged back by the visitors. A brace from Asen Shater in the 8th and 19th minutes gave the visitors the lead which the hosts fought to reduce. They were however rewarded with a glimmer of hope when Enoch Ishaku reduced the deficit in the 68th minute.

HiFL 2021 Round of 16: LAUTECH Set to Shut Down FUTMINNA

LAUTECH Hunters will attempt to shut down the FUTMINNA Transformers in Ogbomoso as matches in the Round of 16 of the 2021 Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) kicks off today. Across four centres, teams spread across eight universities will hope for favourable score lines that will put them in good standing going into the second leg of the matches. It would be recalled that LAUTECH Hunters qualified from Group C alongside FUTA Tigers and UNILAG Marines while FUTMINNA Transformers qualified from Group B with ABU Nobles. In other round of 16 matches for week 1, AAUA Luminaries will host OAU Giants in Akungba; UNIBEN Royals will tackle UNICAL Malabites in Benin while BUK Stallions will slug it out with UNIMAID Desert Warriors in Kano.

Ex-Green Eagles coach, James Peters, Mana get HiSL/HiFL appointments

By Tue Apr 27 2021 A former coach of the then Green Eagles and one time handler of the Super Falcons, James Peters and retired FIFA referee, Dr. Alex Mana have been appointed into the Supreme Management Committee of the Higher Institutions Sports League (HiSL) and Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) as Technical Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) respectively. Apart from the duo, the Green White Green Sports Centre Ltd (GWG) also announced the appointment of Malam Hadi Adamu, director (logistics) and Mr Zephy Okoro, director in charge of facilities while Mr. Babatunde Adejuwon, a renowned volleyball promoter, will serve as the secretary of both the board and SMC.
