Four suspects have been arrested by the CID for illegally obtaining Rs. 43 mn from an account of a leading Steel Manufacturer by producing forged cheques.
The CID arrested four members of an organized crime gang who had obtained Rs. 43 million by presenting forged checks from an account maintained in a private bank owned by a well known steel factory.
It has been revealed that the suspects had committed this illegal transaction on the 12th of April just before the New Year.
They have targeted the funds in an account belonging to this steel factory. Checks have been prepared similar to the checks of the relevant company. The police stated that the fraud had been committed by a group of people who were dressed similar to the employees and pretending to be from the company.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology says that a new kit is being tested to confirm coronavirus infection.
Its senior research scientist Dr. Sanjaya Bathige stated that using RT lamp technology, it is possible to get results in a short period of time through this new test kit.
It also enables the general public to perform a coronavirus tests at an affordable price.
The production of this new test kit has been approved by the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
Successful laboratory tests have been carried out of the relevant test kits at the Institute of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Borella Medical Research Institute and IDH.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal has been admitted to Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket on Friday. Sunita Kejriwal tested positive for the COVID-19 virus on April 20 and was being treated in home isolation.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti took to Twitter to share the news. The Delhi CM also isolated himself at his home after his wife was diagnosed with COVID-19.
