The foundation, which Christian Frederick Martin IV began in 1996, annually distributes funds to support programs. A total of 55 area and national businesses were named as recipients during the December 2020 Board of Directors meeting. This year’s grants mark a quarter century of giving. Since inception, the foundation has distributed about $3.7 million in grants, including $380,000 in 2020. The foundation’s core principles are to support Martin Guitar’s engagement with nonprofit music, arts, education, environmental action and human service organizations. This year s grants mark a quarter century of giving since the Foundation was established by Christian Frederick Martin IV in 1996. C. F. Martin & Co., Inc. has provided funding every year to support the Foundation s programs. The Main Street Initiative, part of the Greater Easton Development Partnership, says the benefits are twofold during the continuing coronavirus crisis: Mid-week dining provides customers on nights that are typically slower for restaurants, and it spaces out customers on weekends when restaurants are limited by capacity and how many orders they can fill in that short amount of time.
