As a business reporter, I write about small businesses opening and closing, manufacturing, food and drink, labor issues and economic data. I particularly love writing about the impact of state and federal policy on local businesses. I also do some education reporting, covering colleges in southeastern Connecticut and regional K-12 issues.

BOZRAH On Sunday night, many people from Eastern Connecticut gathered on the grounds of the Bozrah Farmers Market to remember a man important to all of them; former Norwich Community Development Corp. (NCDC) President Jason Vincent.
A Celebration of Life for Jason Vincent, complete with speeches, poems, candles and a benediction, was held in his honor.
Vincent, who died in December at age 46, was remembered as a genius for his natural talent at planning and thinking ahead for solutions, from his work as a municipal employee for Norwich and Stonington, and as contractor, to proposing a rail project when he was only a teenager to his hometown of Plainfield. He was also remembered as a kind conversationalist who cared about people s problems.
