Wicked Local The Bedford Food Bank  is excited to update the residents on the work being done by staff, volunteers and contributors. The Food Bank, which operates under the Health and Human Services Department, is a town service, available to all Bedford households for whom access to no-cost, nutritious food and household supplies is helpful. Start up In March 2020, Bedford staff were meeting daily to strategize on the COVID-19 response, how to mitigate risks  best serve the needs of people.It  became evident that with school not in session, the temporary closure of the Bedford Community Table/Pantry, limited hours of grocery store operation and an overall discomfort with being around others, staff had to come up with a plan for provision of food.
