According to
Indian Express, the latest seroprevalence survey in Hyderabad has revealed that around 54 per cent of the city’s residents have developed antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, indicating prior exposure to the coronavirus. The survey also revealed that more than 75 per cent of the seropositive population did not know they had contracted coronavirus infection in the past.
The NewsMinute reported that the study, which was jointly conducted by CSIR – Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), ICMR – National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) and Bharat Biotech, was aimed at estimating the seroprevalence of antibodies against the coronavirus in Hyderabad.

Telangana records two deaths
Telangana recorded 152 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the total to 2,99,406. While 41,201 people were examined, results of 658 were awaited. Two more COVID-19 patients died.
The new 152 cases include 25 from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, 11 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, and 10 from Rangareddy. No cases were recorded in Warangal Rural, Narayanpet, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, and Jayashankar Bhupalapally districts.
From March 2, 2020, to March 3 of this year, a total of 88,42,852 samples were tested and 2,99,406 were detected with coronavirus. Of the total cases, 1,948 were active cases, 2,95,821 have recovered, and 1,637 have died.

Latest sero-surveillance survey conducted by CCMB, NIN and BBIL
About 54% of the population in Hyderabad and Secunderabad within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits have been found to be having antibodies against coronavirus in a latest sero-surveillance survey conducted by city-based scientific institutions.
The study conducted jointly by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) and Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL) on a sample size of about 9,000 participants, all of them older than 10 years, has indicated that half the population has either been infected or exposed to coronavirus.
