Telangana logs 7,432 new COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths
Greater Hyderabad accounted for most number of cases

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 1464, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 606 and Rangareddy 504, a government bulletin said on Saturday providing details as of 8 PM on April 23.
The total number of cumulative cases in the state stood at 3,87,106 while with 2,157 patients being cured, the total recoveries were at 3,26,997.
The state has 58,148 active cases and over 1.03 lakh samples were tested on Friday.

Narendra Modi had appealed on April 17 that the Kumbh Mela should now only be symbolic amid the coronavirus crisis , stressing that it would give a boost to the fight against the pandemic.

Telangana reported 6,206 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally to over 3.79 lakh while the death toll rose to 1,928 with 29 more fatalities, the highest-ever in a single day, the State government said on Friday.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 1,005 followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (502) and Nizamabad (406), it said in a bulletin providing details as of 8 PM on April 22.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 24 (ANI): A total of 7,432 new COVID-19 cases, 2,157 recoveries and 33 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Telangana.
According to the State Health Department on Saturday, the total count of COVID-19 cases in the state currently stands at 3,87,106 including 3,26,997 discharges and 1,961 deaths. The number of active cases in the state is 58,148.
Out of the total reported cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 1,464, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri with 606 cases and Ranga Reddy registered 504 new cases.
The State Health Department said that 80.1 per cent cases are asymptomatic while 19.9 per cent are symptomatic. The recovery rate of Telangana is 86.16 per cent and the case fatality rate stands at 0.51 per cent. As many as 1,03,770 samples were tested for COVID-19 till 8 pm on Friday.
Hyderabad: Chicken, meat shops to remain closed tomorrow
Liquor shops were also ordered to shut down on Sunday.

Hyderabad: All meat and chicken shops will be closed on Sunday, April 25 in the city on the occasion of Shri Mahavir Jayanti.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Lokesh Kumar stated in a circular on Friday that all the mutton, chicken and beef shops will be closed in the city on Sunday.
Liquor shops were also ordered to shut down on Sunday.
GHMC commissioner directed the veterinary department officials to ensure that all shopkeepers adhere to these regulations.
