London, 29 January 2021:
At an event held Wednesday at Tripoli’s Radisson Blue Mahari hotel, Libya Post, launched the first phase of Libya’s post/zip code system.
Libya Post is one of the main state-owned telecoms and post subsidiaries charged with postal services.
There have been over the decades numerous attempts starting from the time of the Qaddafi regime, to implement Libya’s postcode system.
In February 2019, in a cooperation agreement, Libya’s General Authority for Telecommunications and Informatics granted permission to Libya Post to begin the completion of Libya’s Postcode address project.
