ELKINS Phil Gainer Community Center officials announced Wednesday that the facility will re-open to allow limited reservations and access.
The decision was made by the Elkins Parks and Recreation Commission. The center is now available for such things as youth sports, civic usage and essential community functions. The facility is not, however, taking reservations for private functions at this time.
“We are going to be really limited with what we are going to do, but we’re definitely excited just to be able to get stuff happening here again,” Phil Gainer Community Center Manager Chris Lee told The Inter-Mountain Wednesday. “I’m happy that we are at a point where the commission is comfortable having us serve the community again.”
