LadBaby has said he will celebrate with “sausage rolls and champagne” if he lands his third consecutive Christmas number one.
The YouTuber, whose real name is Mark Hoyle, has topped the UK’s last two official festive rankings with charity songs raising money for food bank charity The Trussell Trust.
He told the PA news agency there is “a lot of competition this year” and he is up against “megastars” as he competes for the accolade with his song Don’t Stop Me Eatin’.

Now, the latest update from the Official Charts Company confirms the track is at Number Six in the race for the festive top spot and is the UK’s second most downloaded song of the week. In the midweek chart published on Monday (December 21), it was at Number 19.
LadBaby (YouTubers Mark and Roxanne Hoyle) are currently in position to take the Number One with ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin”, which would mark their third consecutive Christmas Number One. Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas’ is at Number Two in the latest update, while Wham!‘s ‘Last Christmas’ is at Number Three.
According to the Official Charts Company, ‘Evermore’ – which is Swift’s sixth UK number one album – has helped Swift set a new record among female artists, with the singer achieving her six UK number one albums in a record eight years.

Swift has beaten the previous record-holder Madonna, who racked up six UK number one albums over 11 years (between 1997 and 2008).

Swift’s achievement is also the fastest accumulation of six chart-topping albums since both Robbie Williams and Westlife earned six number one LPs between 2000 and 2006.
The singer is the first artist in four years to get to the number one spot with two different albums within the same calendar year (‘Folklore’ went to number one on July 31). The occupant of the number one slot will be revealed on BBC Radio One on Christmas Day but preliminary sales and early streaming reports put LadBaby in front.
Proceeds this year will once again benefit food bank charity The Trussell Trust.
Another possible contender is Jess Glynne’s This Christmas.
The top five currently features Mariah Carey’s classic All I Want For Christmas Is You, Wham!’s Last Christmas and Liam Gallagher’s track All You’re Dreaming Of.
