Five people, including four teenagers, have been charged over a break and enter at a business on the New England Highway at Rutherford.
Officers at Port Stephens-Hunter Police District have investigated the offences which allegedly took place on two separate occasions.
Police say in the early hours of Sunday 27th of December 2020, three people made an unsuccessful attempt to break in.
They then allege on the 3rd of January 2021 at around 3am, a Nissan Patrol was stolen from a property in Dudley .
The car was then driven to the business in Rutherford and used to ram the front doors.
Police say items were then taken from the business.
