Crime Branch affidavit to Orissa HC on Infocity ‘gangrape’
Cuttack: Additional Director General of Police (Crime Branch), Soumendra Priyadarshi, Wednesday submitted an affidavit to Orissa High Court on a case pertaining to the alleged gangrape of minor girl in Infocity area of Bhubaneswar.
In his affidavit, the Crime Branch ADG informed the court that four persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The affidavit claimed that OTV employees Aniruddha Panda and Krushna Behera and two others have been arrested in connection with the gangrape.
A division bench of Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice BR Sarangi posted the next hearing on the case to January 13, 2021.

According to official sources, the detainees are Aniruddha Panda and Krushna Chandra Behera who are employees of a private news channel and two security guards who were engaged there.
Notably, an FIR was lodged against them by the mother of the minor victim girl at Infocity police station in Bhubaneswar.
The four persons are presently being interrogated at the Crime Branch’s headquarters in Cuttack. They are expected to be produced before a local court today after confirmation of their arrest.
Notably, Crime Branch took over the investigation last October 8. The FIR regarding the incident was lodged August 30. The case was earlier being investigated by the Commissionerate Police.
