This month was kind of slow in the movie department, but my roommate and I found a couple of action movies to check out despite the slow month.
Both of these movies received average reviews from critics and great audience scores so I was excited to see how the two would compare to each other. Â
âWrath of Manâ
âWrath of Man,â starring Jason Statham as H, follows him as he takes a job as an average security guard for a cash truck. However, he has his own motives to avenge the death of his son. Once his skills come to light during a heist, they become suspicious, wondering who he really is and why heâs decided to join their team.

With newly released thrillers The Woman in the Window directed by Joe Wright (Darkest Hour, 2017) and Those Who Wish Me Dead directed by Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, 2017), mainstream film looked promising May 14-16. But both these films proved disappointing mainly from trying too hard and using too many cliches. So I was pleasantly surprised to see another new film released May 12 on Netflix called Oxygen that elevated my weekend viewing from a dish at Sizzler to least a dish at The Cheesecake Factory.
Oxygen is a tense cerebral mystery about a young woman who wakes up alone in a cryogenic sleeping pod and has to figure out how to survive before her oxygen is depleted but with no memory of how she got there or who she is. Through patchy phone calls, internet searches, and answers from the ghostly voice of a computer interface system, our panicked woman gradually assembles pieces of her life.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Angelina Jolie criticized a judge deciding on custody arrangements for her and Brad Pitt s children during their divorce, saying in a court filing that the judge refused to allow their kids to testify.
Jolie, who has sought to disqualify Judge John Ouderkirk from the divorce case, said in the filing Monday that he declined to hear evidence she says is relevant to the children s safety and well-being before issuing a tentative ruling. The documents don t elaborate on what that evidence may be. Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case, according to the filing in California s Second District Court of Appeal.
