A MUSEUM dedicated to telling the story of life in Richmondshire through the ages will reopen next week with a new look. Richmondshire Museum, based on Ryders Wynd, Richmond, will open to visitors on Monday. It has spent the Covid-enforced shutdown refreshing and restructuring its displays to give people a new experience. A spokesperson for the museum said: “The museum took the risk not to furlough but, in a Covid-safe way, to work, little by little, to re-present the stories it tells by restructuring and enlivening many of its displays to allow the visitor to see recent discoveries such as a medieval coin hoard and many items that have been held in store, previously unseen.
