Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has criticised the reaction of foreign diplomats over the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed, who was in jail in a case under the Digital Security Act. );

Momen was speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on his return from a trip to the United States on Monday.
The minister said that he did not face any questions on Al Jazeera’s controversial report, titled All the Prime Minister’s Men , from officials of the United Nations during his visit.
Ambassadors and high commissioners of 13 OECD countries, including the US and the UK, have expressed “grave concern” over Mushtaq s death in custody nearly 10 months after his arrest in a case under the Digital Security Act.

The High Court has ordered Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission to take steps to remove an Al Jazeera report, titled “All the Prime Minister’s Men”, from the internet. );

However, the court did not issue any order over an appeal to ban the broadcast of the Doha-based channel in Bangladesh.
The virtual High Court bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order on Wednesday following the hearing of six amici curiae and the statement from the state’s chief law officer on Wednesday.

The High Court has heard the opinions of six legal experts to determine the acceptability of a writ petition to ban the broadcast of Qatar-based television channel Al Jazeera in Bangladesh and if it can issue an order for its suspension. );
}
They are Supreme Court lawyers AJ Mohammad Ali, Fida M Kamal, Abdul Matin Khasru, Prabir Niyogi, Kamal Ul Alam and Shahdeen Malik.
The summary of five of their statements is that the plea is not acceptable while Khasru said the court can issue an order if it wants to.

The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate or ISPR has issued a statement describing as false and fabricated Doha-based broadcaster Al Jazeera’s report titled “All the Prime Minister’s Men”. );

Here’s the full statement issued by the ISPR on Monday:
“A recent report titled All the Prime Minister s Men , broadcasted on 1 February 2021 by Al-Jazeera, an international news channel, has drawn the attention of Headquarters, Bangladesh Army. The report of Al-Jazeera, in the form of a documentary, consists of numerous false and fabricated stories in respect of the Government of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Army, creating unnecessary confusion among the general mass. It is clear from the report that it has been intentionally prepared blending some untr
