Unity’s chief product officer Brett Bibby is very animated about the next-gen console launches.
“I’ve never been more excited about a console generation. I like the fact that we have great choices. And it’s not just, you know, ‘I prefer Microsoft’ or ‘I prefer Sony,’ I think they’re gonna have different kinds of experiences tailored to them this time around. And I think that’s great.”
And it’s great for Unity too. The engine was in its infancy on console back when the PS4 and Xbox One were launched, and while since then it has powered numerous incredibly successful games for the outgoing generation, the new generation marks a major milestone for the engine.

Staff Picks
I must admit, I didn’t think I’d be writing one of these for 2020. I’m pretty sure I said as much in my 2019 recap. Of course, this turned out to be a year that none of us expected, and I managed to write another 40 or so reviews. I’m at about 460 in my 6 1/2 years with Punknews. I’d still like to get to 500, but if I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that plans are made to be broken.
The podcast that I co-host with my pal Liverpool Neil, Punk Till I Die, is still going strong. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the things that kept me sane this year. (Along with my family, and an extraordinary amount of booze.) We’ve had a great time talking to punks from all walks of life, telling old personal stories, and playing some great punk. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should.
2020 has been an… interesting year, to say the least. The next-generation of consoles finally launched, hotly anticipated games received painfully disappointing launches, and plenty of late-gen bloomers on the PS4 amazed us with what developers could do on last-gen hardware. As with every year, we’re taking some time as 2020 comes to a close to celebrate the games that released this year, awarding the best of the best with our Game of the Year Awards. Last year,
All of the PSLS Game of the Year awards are chosen by the entire staff including input from freelancers, contributors, and previous writers where applicable through an open nomination process and then a final vote on the nominees. You might see some curious omissions or additions in the nominees, not to mention some surprising winners next week, but we think it speaks to the unique voice and diverse interests that the collective PlayStation LifeStyle staff has.
Christmas Toy Drive
Folks in Harrisburg doing all they can to make sure no child goes without a toy on Christmas morning. Author: Alexis Gorenstein (FOX43) Updated: 10:41 PM EST December 19, 2020
HARRISBURG, Pa. All You Can, Inc. held its 8th annual holiday donation drive event today at the United Methodist Center. Each family was treated to a hot holiday meal, and each child received two presents; a stuffed animal and stocking stuffers. 300 children were registered for the event and the group expects that number to grow over time because of the Covid-19 pandemic. What we wanted to do is provide some Christmas relief, great direly needed Christmas relief now with the pandemic and no sign of relief coming on a government level or local level, said Ralph Rodriguez of All You Can, Inc. We feel it takes a village to really get it done, so the organizations kind of collaborated and really made it happen this year.
