Grande Prairie and area came through with open hearts and supported the Swan City Rotary Club’s 2020 Cars for Christmas Lottery, despite concerns about the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

While most Peace Country Snowbirds won’t be heading away from the Great White North this year, two retirees will be off to sunny southern climates soon.
A pair of decommissioned fire trucks that had belonged to the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service were handed over to the Sunrise Rotary Club as a donation for the Roatan Fire Department in Honduras and to the communities in Mazatlán, Mexico through the Grande Prairie Sunrise Rotary Club.
