Thanks to the Victorian State Government, via the Business Concierge and Hospitality Support Program, businesses now have a Council representative that can help guide them through the ever changing COVID requirements. Economic and Community Development Manager Adam Saddler said the constant changes surrounding COVIDSafe practices was exhausting for business owners and community members, and often difficult to interpret. “We are pleased to have a dedicated COVID Support Officer available full-time to assist businesses and community groups to ‘get it right’ and keep our community safe”

Date Time Funding welcomed for Active Together project Swan Hill Rural City Council leisure centres will benefit from $2.95 million in upgrades thanks to funding announced today by Member for Northern Victoria, Mark Gepp MP. Swan Hill Rural City Council Mayor Bill Moar said the funding would transform community indoor leisure centres in Swan Hill and Robinvale. “Our Active Together project will transform leisure centres in Swan Hill and Robinvale into fully inclusive, accessible, sustainable, multi-purpose sport and recreation precincts. “Swan Hill Leisure Centre will gain a significant gym expansion and the Robinvale Leisure Centre will benefit from extended gym space, along with an additional highball court,” Cr Moar said.

Date Time Aerodrome curfew, user fees and charges Swan Hill Rural City Council is proposing a night time curfew and new user fees and charges for Swan Hill and Robinvale Aerodromes. The proposal for the curfew comes after a number of noise complaints were received regarding noise generated by aircraft using airspace over Swan Hill for circuit training. Director of Infrastructure Svetla Petkova said that the proposed night time curfew would assist to limit circuit training activities by flight training aircraft. “We are proposing that the night time curfew take effect from 11pm until 6am, seven days of the week”
