Many Aberdeenshire residents have now received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
An update on the Covid Vaccine programme delivery in the region was given at a meeting of Aberdeenshire Council’s Integration Joint Board (IJB) last Wednesday (March 31).
At the meeting Angie Wood, Interim Chief Officer of Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), said the latest figures estimated that around 112,000 people in Aberdeenshire have received their vaccination.
The programme is still focusing on vaccinating those who are most vulnerable first while appointment invites have been sent out to unpaid carers and those aged between 60 and 54.
Aberdeenshire HSCP said it was “on track” to complete vaccinations in priority groups by the Scottish Government deadline of April 18.
