Medina pantry offers free pet food for low-income families

MEDINA, Ohio In October 2015, Medina resident Tina Sergent found that she and her family were unable to purchase food for their pets because of a temporary loss of income. They were unwilling to relinquish what they considered to be family members, so Sergent tried to find a charity that would give them food.
She learned that no such group existed in Medina, leaving her to drive to a Ravenna pantry so that she could feed her pets.
