ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) Beginning today, the Ithaca City School District is switching to full distance learning.
In a letter to the public, Superintendent Doctor Luvelle Brown says mandatory isolation and quarantine of several students and staff in the district triggered the move. Brown says in-person learning should resume after the winter break, January 4th.
Once everyone returns, Brown writes “a COVID-19 testing program will be implemented to support in-person learning for those who’ve selected that option,” adding coordination of the testing program is ongoing.
