Sanzaf distributing 1 million meals during Ramadaan

The SA National Zakah Fund (Sanzaf) is providing 1 million warm meals, 15 000 Ramadaan hampers and 27 000 Fitrah hampers to those in need throughout in the country during the month of Ramadaan.
They have provided over R10 million in food and aid across the country since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
While the organisation distributes food and aid throughout the year, the month of Ramadaan is especially important as they have initiated this project to ensure that no Muslim person goes hungry or has to worry about food security.
Role of Police lauded in controlling law, order

Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Syed Mustafa Tanveer visited different areas of the capital city to inspect the law and order situation and met with the on-duty officials.
According to the police, Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP (Aiwan-e-Sadr) Sardar Mustafa and ASP Abdul Aleem also accompanied the high-ups during their round to the city. The officials also distributed masks among the personnel. DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar also had an ‘Iftar’ dinner with the police officials in Rawat while SSP Syed Mustafa Tanveer had ‘Iftar’ with cops at Faizabad bridge.

Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said on Tuesday that political workers are the real asset of any party whose services cannot be forgotten in any way.
He said that especially through the platform of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf political activists had rendered a memorable role and devoted their energies to implement Prime Minister Imran Khan’s dream of bringing about a change.
He expressed these views while condoling the death of Saleem Shabrati, a longtime party worker.
OICCI puts its weight behind unified tax rate of 13 percent

KARACHI: Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) has recommended rationalisation of minimum tax regime, abolition of final tax regime, and a unified tax rate of 13 percent for the next fiscal year.
The chamber in its proposals submitted with the government highlighted various measures required to streamline the complex tax regime, incentivise the legitimate taxpayers through ease of doing business measures, and ensure filing of tax returns by all income earners, it said in its statement.
“GoP has taken various bold measures in the face of many economic challenges, including those emanating from the Covid-19 impact on the local and international trade and business,” said Irfan Siddiqui, OICCI President, while commenting on the taxation proposals.
