E. Greenbush Woman: Nat Grid Imposter Tried to Get In House
East Greenbush police say a man dressed as a National Grid employee showed up at a woman s home on Tuesday and tried to enter the house claiming that he was there to provide services. The swindler said he needed to turn her gas off and replace her meter, but she refused to let him in and called police.
It s a good thing her spidey senses started tingling when they did or the outcome could have been much different.
According to News 10 ABC, the unnamed East Greenbush woman told police that the assertive imposter even dressed like a National Grid employee donning the yellow fluorescent colored jacket.
Albany Sheriff Craig Apple told GNA on Tuesday that had it not been for Joe Iachetta's K9 inside the cage, he would died while trapped under a tractor-trailer.
