“It’s crushing to me, and it’s not the type of representation that our community deserves,” said Keara Hilton, who started the online petition asking for Fisk’s resignation. “He died of cancer, and she is the president of our village, and so I felt very strongly as someone who’s currently battling cancer that that is not the person I would choose to represent the village that I love.”

MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. â Thereâs outrage in Middleville over online statements made by village president Amanda Fisk.
Following the death of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, she shared an article on her personal Facebook page and laughed about it.
COMMUNITY REACTION
Residents who spoke with FOX 17 say her statements do not represent their village, and as a public official she should step down.
Theyâve even started an online petition calling for her immediate removal.
âHonestly, thatâs not the way you represent a community,â said Amanda Pullen, who has lived in Middleville her whole life.
