Nine infants died at the State-run J.K. Lon Hospital on Wednesday and Thursday The Rajasthan government on Friday appointed a four-member committee to investigate the death of nine newborns at J.K. Lon Hospital in Kota during the last two days. The committee will submit its report within three days, after inspecting the hospital and looking into the medical facilities available in the institution.
Five infants died at the hospital during Wednesday night and four more on Thursday. All of them were one to four days old. The death of an unusual number of newborn babies in the hospital in December last year had also generated a controversy.

Jaipur: Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma has constituted a committee to investigate the death of infants at JK Lone Hospital in Kota. Medical Education secretary Shri Vaibhav Galriya has issued orders in this regard.
The Health Minister taking this matter seriously has ordered to constitute a four-member team. The committee includes Medical Education Commissioner Smt Shivangi Swarnkar; Director, RCH Dr Lakshman Singh Ola; Additional Principal and Senior Professor, Paediatrics Department, Dr Amarjeet Mehta and Additional Principal and Senior Professor, Paediatrics (Medicine), SMS Medical College Dr Rambabu Sharma.

Jaipur, Dec 11 : Rajasthan Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma on Friday constituted a four-member committee to investigate the death of at least nine infants/newborns at JK Lone Mother and Child Hospital in Kota.
Medical Education Secretary Vaibhav Galriya issued the orders in this regard.
The committee will submit its report to the state government in three working days.
The committee includes Medical Education Commissioner Shivangi Swarnkar; Director, RCH Dr Lakshman Singh Ola; Additional Principal and Senior Professor, Paediatrics Department, Dr Amarjeet Mehta; and Additional Principal and Senior Professor, Paediatrics (Medicine), SMS Medical College, Dr Rambabu Sharma.
