The Ain al-Asad base was hit with at least 10 rockets on Wednesday
An American military airbase in Iraq has been hit with a missile strike on Wednesday, according to reports.
The Ain al-Asad base, located in western Anbar province, hosts U.S., Iraqi, and coalition troops.
The site was targeted Wednesday as multiple rockets struck the facility, according to a report.
At least 10 missiles struck the base at 7:20 a.m., The Associated Press reported.
No casualties have been immediately reported, according to Reuters.
The rocket fire came just days after sources told Fox News that the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve raised the threat level for U.S. troops serving in Iraq.
