Consort to Her Majesty the Queen for over 69 years he was a quite wonderful man, whom I had the privilege of meeting. He was known for his great sense of humor and sound views about the Chinese. I wrote some time ago that we would miss him when he was gone and I was right. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle only a few weeks shy of his 100 th birthday. He will be buried in a quiet ceremony in St George’s Chapel, Windsor. He was the last world leader to have seen combat in World War II, indeed he was present at the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay.  

Arizona National Guard gets new commander

AZPM Brig. General Kerry Muelhlenbeck was appointed, Thursday, by Governor Doug Ducey to be the next Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard and Director of the state Department of Emergency Affairs. Muehlenbeck is the first woman to lead the Arizona National Guard. “Don’t get me wrong, the historical importance of being the first female adjutant general in Arizona is not lost on me, but I do hope that what I’ve done and who I am is more important than simply my sex,” said Muehlenbeck. To be an organization for educators, it seems to mostly consist of folks who are conservative activists. Here’s a rundown of what I found - others could likely figure out more, particularly with their connections to other “dark money” conservative and evangelical groups around the state. I couldn’t find what college she’s affiliated with but she teaches at an online Christian school, the Alpha Omega Academy.
