Now that the defense has rested, some may be wondering who is Brockton-based attorney Kevin J. Reddington, the man representing Correia and what makes him tick.
Sure, Fall River area residents will remember him from representing former mayor Will Flanagan in the infamous gun incident. Back when Correia was a freshman City Councilor, he claimed that Flanagan who at the time was embroiled in a massive recall effort to remove him from office tried to intimidate him by asking him into his car and showing him a gun. At the time, Reddington waved the results of a polygraph test he said proved Flanagan did not intimidate Correia.

Powell said he hopes the lessons he learned during his time as a U.S. attorney will carry over into his new position.

Former U.S. Attorney William J. Powell has joined the Martinsburg office of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. Powell will practice in the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing his practice on an array of business litigation matters.
