Michael L. Alberts has been selected President and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank effective Sept. 8 upon the retirement of Kevin Merchant. Since 2015 Alberts has served as the Senior Commercial Loan Officer and member of the bank s senior management team. Formerly first selectman of Woodstock, he served 12 years as a state legislator.
