COVID Variant Found in Caddo: How Nervous Should You Be?

COVID Variant Found in Caddo: How Nervous Should You Be? Dr. Martha Whyte from the Louisiana Office of Public health talks about the latest COVID variants, including the Indian variant, which has been discovered in Caddo Parish. We just found the first two cases of the Indian variant, says Dr. Whyte, It s a little more concerning. Because we know we have these two, I m sure there are more cases here. And neither of these people traveled, so they got it from someone. And why is this form of the virus getting more attention than previous variants? (This variant) has more changes in it. It has more changes in it so it s more worrisome to us because.we know it is more contagious, we believe it is more resistant , says Whyte, adding that currently there is no proof that the Indian variant is more problematic to those who have been vaccinated.

I Have Noticed Something After Being Off Facebook for 6 Weeks

I Have Noticed Something After Being Off Facebook for 6 Weeks A couple of weeks ago I wrote an article talking about how I felt after not being on Facebook for three weeks.  Well, three more weeks have gone by and I am very happy to say that I still haven’t utilized my personal Facebook.  I have finished six and am currently working on my seventh week of Facebook freeness and there is something else that I have noticed. In my last article, I believe I acknowledged or eluted to the fact that I was in a better headspace.  I think a big reason for that is that my anxiety has dropped quite a bit since getting off of Facebook.  I haven’t had to worry about seeing the next awful thing that may or may not happen.  Granted, I know that bad things are going to happen.  Because that’s how the world works.   But not being on edge as often because I don’t have to worry about seeing the next awful news post (that might not even be true) is a great thing.
