Miller, 35, said the AFL was already working on a slew of lawsuits in Texas, hoping to use the same strategy that progressive groups used to block Trump administration policies by pursuing injunctions in more liberal court jurisdictions.
“It was an extraordinarily effective tactic, and there’s no counterpoint to that on our side,” Miller, who is not a lawyer, told the Journal.
The AFL will include other figures tied to the Trump administration, including Gene Hamilton, former counselor to the attorney general.

Former Trump senior adviser weighs in on Biden s handling of the border crisis and infrastructure on Special Report
Stephen Miller, the one-time senior advisor to former President Donald Trump who shaped immigration crackdown policies, has launched a new conservative group that could take on President Biden s progressive agenda in court.
Miller formed America First Legal, which aims to serve as a conservative counterweight to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The nonprofit organization intends to launch court challenges with state GOP attorneys general to fight back on executive actions they deem unlawful or an overreach.
Miller understands firsthand the legal challenges that Trump faced when he sought to implement new executive policies, from his travel ban on predominantly Muslim countries to building a southern border wall with military funds.

Pence launches political advocacy group with an eye to the Trump legacy and his own future
Former Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday announced the launch of a new political advocacy group, “Advancing American Freedom,” a move designed with an eye to his political future and his efforts to help shape the conversation around the Trump administration’s legacy.
The group’s stated goal is to “promote the pro-freedom policies of the last four years that created unprecedented prosperity at home and restored respect for America abroad, to defend those policies from liberal attacks and media distortions, and to prevent the radical Left from enacting its policy agenda that would threaten America’s freedoms,” according to a statement from the group.
