US President Donald Trump will visit the US-Mexico border on Tuesday just a week before he is due to leave office to tout what he views as one of his biggest accomplishments: the partial construction of a wall along the US-Mexico border.
As per data available till September last year, Bihar had reported only 2.08 lakh admissions under the scheme since its inception, while Uttar Pradesh had reported 4.56 lakh and Madhya Pradesh 4.46 lakh admissions. These were significantly fewer than the numbers from smaller states like Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, which had reported 19.3 lakh and 10.7 lakh admissions, respectively.
Also, Bihar had issued just 54 lakh e-cards under the scheme till September. For UP and MP, these were 96 lakh and 1.45 crore e-cards. There are about five crore beneficiaries apiece in UP and Bihar.
The Centre has released only Rs 232 crore to UP and Rs 170 crore to Bihar from 2018 to March 2020 under the scheme, due to low level of claims filed post hospitalisation. It had disbursed Rs 4,841 crore country-wide in the same period.

New Delhi [India] January 6 (ANI): The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has deployed multi-disciplinary teams to Avian influenza affected Alappuzha and Kottayam districts in Kerala, and Panchkula District, Haryana, to help with the implementation of government containment plan, the Government of India said on Wednesday.
According to an official release, the Department of Animal Husbandry on January 4 notified detection of Avian Influenza (H5N8) in samples of dead ducks from Alappuzha and Kottayam districts in Kerala. A similar report of Avian Influenza has also been received from poultry samples from Panchkula District of Haryana, the release said.

The state government will provide Rs 200 each to owners of birds which are older than 2 months. Whereas, Rs 100 each will be given for birds less than one month old. The decision was taken in today s cabinet meeting.
