Security both inside and outside a children s home has been increased following the escape of five boys in March – with two of them being murdered while on the run.
Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Ayanna Webster-Roy said since the March 20 escape, the children’s home has increased security manpower, with increased internal and perimeter monitoring and increased the internal security infrastructure.
Webster-Roy, in response to e-mailed questions, said to further prevent such instances, the Children’s Authority under whose care the home falls, met with an inter-agency task force to discuss “alternative ways to exercise supervision and behaviour management of children in need of supervision (CHiNS).”

Abia State government has been urged to set up taskforce teams to check the activities of modeling companies who organize beauty pageants in the state.
Chief Executive Officer, GEES Concept Modeling Company, Mr. Felix Onuiri, who stated this while presenting a car to the winner of the Miss Abia 2021 pageant at the Ministry of Youth Development, Umuahia, explained that the activities of some fraudulent modeling companies have made it difficult for genuine ones to operate freely.
He disclosed that was a big task for his company to hold the show in the state because most models no longer believe that modeling companies could fulfill their promises in terms of prizes to be won.

Stuart Young is the new Minister of Energy.
He will replace Franklin Khan, who died suddenly on Saturday morning.
A release from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said Dr Rowley had advised the President that, with immediate effect, Young would be moved from the National Security Ministry.
He will retain his portfolio as a minister in the OPM.
“I thank the Prime Minister, Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley, for his confidence in me in his reassignment of me to the portfolio of Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, in addition to my duties as Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister,” Young said in a Facebook post.
