Senate Committee Recommends Plan of Action to Tackle Unemployment
A legislative governing body comprising senators and ministerial representatives has recommended the facilitation of Ph.D. degree holders and government workers to mitigate the unemployment crisis across Pakistan.
The meeting was convened on Wednesday under the Senate’s blueprint for Federal Education Professional Training, National History, and Literary Heritage, and chaired, in principle, by Senator Engr. Rukhsana Zuberi.

The Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Akram, attended the meeting, along with senators, ministerial representatives, and other concerned officials.
The attendees discussed advancements in technology and the need to streamline a high-end service structure to accommodate individuals possessing special skillsets to work in industrial manufacturing.
Ed-Tech Will be a Core Pillar of Pakistan Education Policy 2021: Shafqat Mahmood
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training has said that Ed-Tech will be a core pillar of Pakistan Education Policy 2021.
We shall use Ed-Tech to make learning holistic, enjoyable, and integrated and to create an ecosystem in education that will make students well learned and productive; said the minister while presiding over a virtual meeting with Ed-Tech Industry owners.

The meeting was aimed to discuss Pakistan Education Policy 2021 and the use of technology in it. Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood has said that education’s future lies in technology and Ed-Tech encourages innovation in the learning process. Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is going to launch a project of $ 200 million with the collaboration of the World Bank for online content development and it will help to develop Pakistan Ed-Tech Industry too, he added.

Islamabad : Education plays a crucial role in the economic development and growth of a country and use of technology was crucial to ensure quality education.
In the race of development and advancement, an official source of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training said it was most important to work on the education sector of a country and public literacy should be the first line of defense for our national and social security over the next decade.
He said that Pakistan needs to invest more on education in the coming years.

A special plane of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) left for Beijing on Sunday to bring home the first tranche of the Sinopharm vaccine for COVID-19 vaccination in the country.
On Jan.28, the federal government gave the green light for three COVID-19 vaccines including Russia’s Sputnik-V, China’s Sinopharm and UK’s Oxford-AstraZeneca for emergency use in the country for which a step-by-step guide was also issued.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has made the arrangements for the vaccine’s storage in Islamabad and has also taken measures to air-transport it to the federating units, especially Sindh and Balochistan.
