The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has suspended all flights from the UK and vice versa from Wednesday to December 31 in view of the new strain of the virus.

In a meeting chaired by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray against the backdrop of a new coronavirus strain being reported in the United Kingdom, it has been decided to impose a night curfew in all municipal corporations in the state from December 22 to January 5. The curfew will be imposed from 11 pm to 6 am.

The Uddhav Thackeray government has decided to impose

Maharashtra for the next 15 days. The state government on Monday announced that night curfew will be imposed from 11pm to 6 am from Tuesday night (December 22).
The government has imposed 14 days compulsory institutional quarantine for those returning from Europe and Middle East to the state. Also, returnees from other countries coming to the state will have to be home quarantined.

India became the latest country to shut all its borders with the United Kingdom after France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Bulgaria, the Irish Republic, Turkey, Canada and several other countries suspended flights as a full lockdown came into force in London and southeast England to contain a mutation to the coronavirus.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday said, Considering the prevailing situation in the UK, Indian govt has decided that all flights originating from the UK to India shall be temporarily suspended till 11:59 pm, 31st December. This suspension to start w.e.f. 11.59 pm, 22nd December.
