New Delhi [India], April 21 (ANI): As part of Indian Railways project of redeveloping stations across the country, the nodal agency has developed a first-of-its-kind form-based codes for the commercial development of railway land. These codes formulated by IRSDC will lead to a systematic and scientific standardization of the development of railway stations, including commercial development on railway land. IRSDC is all set to present the first of its path-breaking codes/guidebook/handbook for station redevelopment along with commercial development on railway land on 19 April 2021 through a national webinar as part of the stakeholder engagement exercise.
Pitching for transforming railway station areas into mini-smart cities offering huge business opportunities and improved passenger amenities at redeveloped stations, Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation has formulated comprehensive guidebooks and codes to standardise planning and implementation across Indian Railways.

The length of the straight portion of the ROB is 1680 metres and is built at a cost of Rs 389 crore. The project is funded by the Urban Development Fund (UDF) of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

New Delhi [India], March 4 (ANI): Bengaluru emerged as the top performer in the Ease of Living Index 2020 in the Million plus category , according to the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
Indore has bagged the first spot in Municipal Performance Index (MPI) in the Million plus category followed by Surat and Bhopal.
Union Minister of State Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri announced the release of the final rankings of the Ease of Living Index (EoLI) 2020 and the Municipal Performance Index (MPI) 2020 in an online event on Thursday.
