PM Modi chaired a high-level meeting to review the examinations to be held at various levels in view of the developing COVID-19 situation.
The Centre on Wednesday decided to postpone the class 12 board exams for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 14, in view of the rising coronavirus cases across the country. Meanwhile, board exams for students of class 10 have been cancelled.

New Delhi, April 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a high-level meeting convened on Wednesday to decide on the CBSE board examinations amid the rising Covid cases in the country, looked like a concerned guardian of the children. He expressed concern about the health of the students who were supposed to take part in class 10 board exams. According to highly placed sources, the officials had come to the meeting with a proposal to postpone the board exams and not to cancel it.
