Lane County to receive thousands of vaccine doses
After receiving only 100 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, Lane County Public Health is celebrating the impending arrival of a lot more.

EUGENE, Ore. After receiving only 100 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, Lane County Public Health is celebrating the impending arrival of a lot more.
Spokesperson Jason Davis said the county learned Tuesday that our next shipment to public health alone will be 4,600 doses.
On top of that, 1,950 doses will go to McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, nearly 5,000 will go to PeaceHealth hospitals, and 1,200 to PeaceHealth Peace Harbor in Florence.

The COVID-19 vaccination arrived in Oregon over the weekend, and Lane County hospitals will receive their first deliveries of it later this week.
There were 35,100 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine delivered to Oregon, according to an Oregon Health Authority news release Monday. Of those, 10,725 will go to skilled nursing facilities for vaccinations scheduled to start next week.
Legacy Health s locations in Portland and Tualatin were the first to get the vaccine, made by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE. Legacy Health s Holladay Park site in Portland and Meridian Park site in Tualatin each received one package of 975 doses Monday morning.
