The company behind a Stratford nightclub is appealing against a town hall licensing decision.
An appeal lodged by Serene Entertainment Ltd, which is licence holder at Jhankaars in The Broadway, is due to be heard at Thames Magistrates Court on February 15.
This month s court action follows the refusal by Newham Council s licensing sub-committee to vary the venue s existing premises licence.
Last February an application was made to remove two conditions from an agreed consent order. However, this was refused in a sub-committee hearing on October 23.
The first condition is that the Met Police should be notified 14 days before proposed events - which include table, lap or Bollywood dancing - and for the service to have the power of veto.
